I love writing for Presents. I love the glamour, the intensity of the romance and, of course, the alpha hero. But for a while I’ve been longing to write a longer book, a romance that doesn’t just take a close up view of the hero and heroine, but also explores their relationship and their lives in more detail, so when HQN gave me the chance to write a series of full length contemporary romances, I was thrilled. I’ve written 65 books for Harlequin Presents and Medical Romance and some of the most popular have been my festive, winter stories so when I started planning this series I decided to combine all the elements that over the years readers have told me they enjoy.
Fortunately I enjoy the same things, and so the O’Neil Brothers series was born!
Jackson, Sean and Tyler O’Neil grew up in Snow Crystal Resort in beautiful Vermont. Built around a lake and surrounded by forest and mountains, this special place has been home to the O’Neil family for four generations. All three left to pursue their own paths, but after the sudden death of their father they discover the business is at risk.
Sleigh Bells in the Snow is Jackson’s story. Jackson has so many hero qualities. He is one of life’s tough guys – calm in a crisis, with shoulders broad enough to take whatever pressures come his way. Everyone leans on him. Did I mention he’s also smoking hot? I fell in love with him right away. My heroine Kayla took a little longer, but life has taught her to be guarded. Christmas is her least favorite time of year.
I have sons and I love observing the relationship between brothers. With this series I had the opportunity to explore that alongside the romance and I had as much fun writing the family scenes as I did tamoxifen cost the romance. I love the whole O’Neil family (especially Walter, the grandfather, and Maple, the miniature poodle) cheapest lasix but I particularly love the brothers, twins Jackson and Sean, and bad boy Tyler. She arrives at Snow Crystal hoping to escape all the festivities, only to find herself sucked deep into the very thing she is trying to avoid. Family. Soon she’s chopping logs with Grandpa, baking with Grandma and falling in love with strong, sexy, Jackson.
Sleigh Bells in the Snow is released October 29 and for more information go to my new website which has more about the books, an extract, photo gallery of Vermont and the O’Neil family’s favorite cookie recipe. www.sarahmorgan.com
The second O’Neil Brothers book, surgeon Sean’s story, will be out July 2014 and is called Suddenly Last Summer. He creates some serious heat with French chef, Élise. The final book, bad boy ex-downhill skier Tyler, will be November 2014.
I hope you’ll take this leap with me and that you enjoy reading these longer length stories as much as I enjoyed writing them.
