by Sharon Kendrick, author of A Whisper of Disgrace (Part of Everyone knows a secret. Secrets make us feel superior, or favoured, or even scared – but at least we have control over who we choose to tell.
But what if someone knew something about you which had the power to blow your world apart? What if they announced it in the most cruel and ugly way, in front of everyone you held dear? And what if the person who betrayed you so utterly was your own mother?
A Whisper of Disgrace starts in a very dark place, with Rosa Corretti running away from the bitter truth she has found out about herself. She’s trying to escape from the gilded prison of her strict Sicilian upbringing and to turn her back on the hypocrisy she sees festering there.
Rosa has never been free to discover men and her sexuality has been repressed for as long as she can remember. It’s just unfortunate that the man she falls for is the hot-blooded but ultimately cold-hearted desert sheikh, Kulal.
Rosa represents everything that Kulal despises in the many women who regularly throw themselves at him, and he has a high price to pay for taking her back to his hotel for a night of passion.
Kulal must marry the voluptuous beauty or risk ruining both their reputations, but their problems are only just beginning. Because whilst the fiercely traditional Kulal realises that having a wife delivers more pleasures than he could never order levitra have anticipated, Rosa is no longer willing to slip into a subservient role….
I loved telling my part of the Corretti story, about a powerful Sicilian family who are no strangers to great passion – and to terrible despair.
I’d love you to tell me a secret (but you probably won’t!), so….
WHO IS THE SEXIEST SPORTSMAN IN THE WORLD?
I’m going with Luis Figo of Portugal, who is the prototype for many of my Sheikhs!
