My favorite thing about Spring is that everything is fresh and new with flowers on the trees and pushing their way up through the dirt. The grass and the dirt even smell like a new beginning!

I love when my tulips first break through the ground, the first day when it is warm enough to go for a walk outside without wearing full winter gear and our family annual Spring vacation 🙂

Spring means prolonged exposure to sun and warmth and being free to run the streets without being weighed down by the kick stopping weight of a vintage winter coat.

I can feel spring when it’s coming, and I love that best of all.

It’s like a building anticipation, first the days get longer, brighter, and warmer. Then I start to smell things that aren’t there, like rain or salt water. I start to have the sneaking suspicion that if I open the window the breeze will be humid and sweet. (Though this time of year in the NEast it usually isnt!)

I organize yard sales on our street the first weekend of every May. Great chance to get rid of stuff, make some money, visit with good friends, and then donate the balance to charity.

The number one thing I love about spring is the face that I can finally use our renovated patio (was converted into a nice 3-season room) and read. It’s quiet, sunny and so relaxing for me. With trying to get back in school and working full time, I don’t have much time to read now. Every moment I get with my darling books is time well spent.

My favorite things are the longer days and the sunshine! Unfortunately the weather hasn’t been too cooperative lately, but hopefully that’ll change soon!

I detest winter, so I love spring because the sun is out. That means I can spend more time outside, with less layers on, go cycling, not have to walk through disgusting slush. I just love the sun!

Spring to me is a way to start over anew. Spring is a positive time to plant a garden, do that needed landscaping, do some home improvements, and see new lives beginning (I just love those baby animals and that what Spring always indicate: New lives beginning afresh).

My favorite thing about spring is all the flowers that start coming up. I can’t wait until the peonies start coming up, I love their smell. Of course the warmer weather is great too. We’ve been watching the birds in our back yard and we have the biggest robin I’ve seen in a while, the grandkids love watching them, also the bunnies we have back there. We have a big fat groundhog that bothered us last year but since the dog has got bigger we haven’t seen him in a while. I’ve never seen a groundhog up close but this one is huge. I sincerely hope he’s moved on somewhere else.
