by Harlequin Presents editor Jenny Hutton

Last year Harlequin Presents was delighted to introduce you to The Royal House of Karedes. We had so much feedback from readers who said how much they enjoyed entering the Karedes world. I can’t tell you how thrilling it was when all eight books hit the desks of Romance HQ, and seeing how the authors brought the stories and characters to life was almost magical.
So, luckily we left a thread in The Royal House of Karedes that still needed to be tied up! And how exciting it was to see the world of the Dark-Hearted Desert Men being shaped! Everything we’d loved about the Calistan sheikhs of The Royal House of Karedes was poured into this new 4-book linked miniseries. The pages are jam packed with smouldering desert princes, simmering tensions and blistering sensuality. The mysterious Sheikh Xavian who appeared at the end of the last Karedes book, The Desert King’s Housekeeper Bride by Carol Marinelli, is of course the missing brother of the Calistan King Zakari and now it’s time for his story to be told.
But every secret has repercussions, and in this case a whole new kingdom will be in jeopardy if Xavian’s real identity is disclosed. What will happen when Xavian, King of Qusay, discovers that he’s living the wrong life? And who will step in and take his place on the throne? The Dark-Hearted Desert Men miniseries reveals all!
For anyone who hasn’t read Karedes there’s a quick recap of everything you need to know at the beginning of the Dark-Hearted Desert Men books, so not to worry. Or, if you don’t want to miss out on the fabulous Royal House of Karedes series, you can download the ebooks at http://ebooks.eharlequin.com. It’s a collection you’ll treasure!
I can’t wait for you to read the Dark-Hearted Desert Men quartet, and hope that you, like me, will be captivated by this desert kingdom and its characters, brought skilfully to life by four hugely talented authors: Carol, Jennie, Trish and Annie will take you to places that you could only ever have imagined. Secrets and scandal swirl with the desert sands and four gorgeous sheikhs take you on a journey that’s truly unforgettable. And the romance…well, it’s brimming from the pages. It’s impossible to resist!
Be sure not to miss the exciting, brand-new Harlequin Presents mini-series

*rubs hands together with glee* Yay! Four wonderful new Lords of the Desert by four of my very favorite authors!
I’m so pleased you continued on with this series and the four authors writing the books are incredible.
I just finished Carol’s first book in the series and as I told her, I hope I can do the book justice with my review as it was so amazing.
In fact, I went out and purchased another copy which I’m giving away this month on my blog…..Romancing the Desert, Sheikh books!
Oh, I can’t wait! So exciting!
Am lovin’ this series. I just finished Carol’s which was brilliant (but then all her books are!) and am waiting for Jennie’s to arrive in the post so I can read the next one – yah!!
Can’t wait to read all 4
What a fab author line up – incl some of my favs
Oh how fabulous! I love desert men — can’t wait to read!
Have been fortunate enough to read the first three – can’t wait for Annie’s. I’m thinking bribery might work…
Fabulous job, ladies.
Can never have too many sheikhs!…especially when they are as dark and sexy as these ladies write. Can’t wait to read this new miniseries.
I’m so excited the books are finally here!
I had a ball working with Carol, Jennie and Annie. Sheikh stories are some of my favourite Presents to read and to write and it was so fabulous to have the opportunity to be part of this quartet and write a bigger story with all the repercussions and consequences that come of writing linked books.
Thanks Jenny and Romance HQ, for the opportunity (and thanks to the cover gods for my gorgeous lush cover:))

Ah, the wonders of those desert men. So uninhibited, so very much in control … until it comes to their passions.
Sheikh and sheikh the romance bottle:
None will come, and then a lot’ll!
Jenny, thanks for this lovely introduction. This quartet is so exciting and I count myself as very fortunate to be involved in it. Working with Carol, Trish and Jennie was a real treat, as was creating this fabulous new world fit for several sheikhs. I have an enormous weakness for a good sheikh story and in this I got the double pleasure of writing one and being part of the bigger continuity – fantastic fun.
It’s wonderful seeing the book covers all together!
Kelly, I’d be happy to accept a bribe to get you my book! Maybe after I get my hot little hands on it myself.
The Royal House of Karedes series was brilliant.
I’ve read Carol Marinelli’s the first in the series of Dark Hearted Desert men and it was fantastic. Now I’m hanging out for the remaining three stories which will be amazing, because these are my favourite authors and they write such superb Sheikh stories.
I just love a good Sheikh book.
Well done and thanks M&B.
As Annie says, it’s great to see all the covers together. They look terrific!
I’m so looking forward to reading this series! I loved being part of the Karedes books, and it’s great the story is continuing. Fabulous job, ladies!
The books look good, but I didn’t read the Karedes series. They didn’t really interest me. So will I be lost with these books not having read that series or is this a stand-alone series?
