Did you know that Sarah Morgan’s February 2009 Harlequin Presents/Mills & Boon Modern Romance book The Prince’s Waitress Wife is the first book in a partnership between Mills & Boon and the Rugby Football Union featuring book with hot rugby-playing heroes? The Guardian has an article about it here. Sounds like a similar deal that Harlequin has with our NASCAR books.
The heroine of Sarah’s story works at Twickenham Rugby Stadium as a waitress in the royal box, where she meets the hero, Prince Casper of Santalia. Sparks instantly fly and the couple is caught kissing– and the pictures end up on the screen at the Twickenham field! Oops!
Of course, that’s just the beginning of the story…
The Prince’s Waitress Wife is available now from eHarlequin.com in print and ebook formats. Use the widget below to read the first chapter!
The article was the first I heard about this partnership and I’d love to know what everyone thinks about it. Rugby isn’t that big in North America but I’ve seen enough to know I can root for a rugby-playing hunk! What do you think about rugby players joining the ranks of the classic Presents tycoons, sheikhs, and royalty (even if they’re princes, too
)? What other new occupations or hobbies would you like you romance heroes to have?

Hi Everyone and a Happy New Year.
Well, I’ve already had the priveledge of reading Abby Green’s contribution to this absolutely delicious idea of linking our cherished Modern/Presents Alpha’s to rugby.
The French Tycoon’s Pregnant Mistress, was fantastic. Abby based it between Dublin and Paris, get your hands on this incredible book, as soon as possible girls, because it you will love it.
I think it’s a great idea, and I can’t wait to read the rest of the series.
xx Karen
