Auctions in Support of Author Jo Leigh

Posted by Amy

Author Jo Leigh — who writes for Harlequin Blaze, as well a few other lines in the past — is facing some tough times. Her husband lost his battle with cancer earlier this year, and because they did not medical insurance, Jo is facing some big time bills.

So to show their support, various romance blogs, authors and publishers have come together to offer auction items to raise money for Jo. More information about this event and links to read Jo’s story are available at Alison Kent’s website. Items are up for sale here on eBay — things include autographed books, ARCs, website & design help, and TONS of manuscript critiques from authors and editors (such as Harlequin’s own Blaze senior editor Brenda Chin) for all the aspiring writers out there.

Please stop by and make a bid if you are able. And best wishes & thoughts to Jo Leigh!

I’ve seen this posted on quite a few blogs and it’s now posted on mine. Great items don’t you think?

You’re right Marilyn — the generosity of all the authors, editors, websites, and bloggers is astounding. Here’s hoping they raise lots of money for Jo! It’s heartbreaking that after someone loses a person they love, the trouble just keeps on coming…

    Amy,

If I bid on an item and someone has to bid more to retain the item, does that mean I’ve contributed? just kidding…

This a wonderful thing to do and I pray Jo Leigh not only receives the financial gifts but feels how much she is loved and supported by friends here.

Plus, in looking and bidding on the goodies for sale, it is quite the e-mall auction for an aspiring author. What a great idea.

This shows the true i-heart of HMB.
