Susan,

Love the pictures and showing the background behind part of your book touched something deep within me.

I am an aspiring author who has submitted work for review. An editor indicated my style is similar to yours and is encouraging me to read all your books.

So in a nutshell, my submission was rejected but carried a caveat invitation to resubmit after reviewing your work. (I promise I won’t copy anything, ha ha) But I have been reading your books and to my surprise because I’m such a strong critic, I’m expressly drawn by them.

I won’t name the previous authors that have inspired but me but they are on different paths than HMB now. So finding a role model who writes for HMB has been a struggle in reference to my technique.

So, I just wanted to say thanks. The magic guideline I have been seeking for HMB has been found between your pages. Aren’t the editors so talented to have identified my style?

I look forward to reading more of your books and I hope you don’t mind my using you as an inspiration.

Thanks for sharing the brilliant pics! I can tell just from those few that your trip was truly inspiring! Will be heading to Paris myself very very soon but I suspect there’ll be no heatwave waiting for us!

Gorgeous pictures Susan – just make me all wistful inside! I haven’t spent nearly long enough visiting France and it’ll be some time before I get back there – and the pastries those French bakers make – oh wow. Thank goodness there’s your book to give me some vicarious pleasure in the meantime

Love the photos (and your book description is sending me out to find it now). I was in Paris a little over a year ago. You are bringing back fond memories. Although, unfortunately, I did not meet a Presents hero!

Susan – amazing pictures. And such exquisite torture to see when compared with the cold cold rainy days outside…! Rodin’s sculpture of ‘The Kiss’ is brilliant, I remember going to see it a few years ago and it feels almost voyeuristic just to look at it…
thanks for sharing your lovely warm pics…that Abbey is truly inspirational, like something out of the film ‘Manon des Sources’…
