This giveaway is part of the launch for eReader 1.2, which is the new version of the format that is compatible with both the iPhone and iPod Touch. The website also has instructions for loading the software (which is free) and the ebooks (also free, through Sept. 12 only).

After a nerve-wracking software update to my iPhone, I was finally able to download the free ereader and get my free books!! I’ve been meaning to do it, and the free books were my motivation.
Totally excited! Headed on a plane trip tomorrow, with my new books loaded and ready to go!

You don’t need an iPhone to get the free books. You can download software on the site so that you can read them on your computer. Now an iPhone so that you can read them while travelling would be so easy. A desktop digs into the knees!
