That's a great chapter Lynn, full of energy and sizzling with sexual tension. I was one of the 600 odd who entered the competition. I didn't expect to win but as with everything in life you still have hope that maybe just maybe the editor will see something in the rough. But that wasn’t to be and reading your chapter and Dani’s I completely see why, which is a valuable lesson I couldn’t get from any book or course! But I think I have learned something even more important from this competition - that I am not alone in wanting to write for HP, there are a huge number of intelligent and talented women all sharing the same dream. So thanks for the competition (and the many talented women on this site), it has been inspirational in so many ways! You'll see Sally's notes, I'm sure. I've never felt I was a great synopsis writer, but I totally loved the 2 page, double-spaced limit. Gave me just enough room to imagine without having to justify.
