Alpha Heroes, International Settings and, of course, Great Sex!

by Tessa Shapcott, Executive Editor
A warmly passionate welcome (how else could it be?) from me — Tessa Shapcott, Executive Editor of Harlequin Presents, (known as Mills & Boon Modern on our side of the pond) from the London editorial office! This blog is your chance to get to the heart of the world’s best-selling romance series! You’ll be hearing from editors and other colleagues who are fans of this unique series. We would also like to hear from you. Please comment by clicking on the links at the bottom of each post — it’s easy — you’ll get to join the discussion and we’ll even answer the most interesting comments right here on the blog.

I am really thrilled about the launch of I “Heart” Harlequin Presents! If you’re anything like me, your day is definitely brightened by an encounter with a gorgeous Greek tycoon, a sexy impossibly handsome, wealthy Italian, or a suave yet brooding British billionaire (I’ll undo his bow-tie anytime)! It’s great to know there’s a place now that totally dedicates itself to the Alpha Male, and that we can make him available to us whenever we choose!

I think we are going to have plenty to talk about — we definitely want to hear from you and what you love and hate about Presents, whether you are a regular reader of the line, or new to it entirely. We also want to tell you all we can about the series, from the enduring lure of the Sheikh, to why we’d all like to be the mistress of a Presents hero (and it’s not just because he gives diamonds). There will also be lots of info about favourite authors!

I “Heart” Harlequin Presents and I know you will, too — let’s begin our journey together into our wonderful, private world, where the men are always strong and powerful…

To join what’s sure to be a great conversation, all you have to do it click on the “comments” link at the top of this post — it’s easy!

Oh. my. god. I LOVED Harlequin Presents back in the day!
Anne Mather – sigh. Violet Winspear (of the absolutely gorgeous name) – yum.
Charlotte Lamb – fab! Penny Jordan – who can forget? Emma Darcy…
they’re all names I’ll never forget.

I confess: I was a teenages PRESENTS ADDICT. There, my secret
is out. They were yummy, fun, fast and fantastic. On a good day,
during summer vacation, I would whip through two and be scrounging
for more. How fun was that?!

Must make an effort to pick up a contemporary Presents, just to walk down
    memory lane one more time.

How wonderful to find a blog dedicated totally to the Presents line!
I started reading them in my early teens and got totally hooked. I still am. :)

I’ve been reading HPs since the 70’s. For the most part I love them. They are my favorite
    series.
